Preity Zinta : Preity's proud of Jaan-E-Mann [3,Nov,2006]

If I were to do it, I would act in Jaan-E-Mann all over again -- and again and again," says Preity Zinta, saying she finds it difficult to understand how such "a beautiful film" got started on the wrong foot. 

"I saw the film with some of the most seasoned directors I have worked with in the last seven and half years," she continues, chatting from her Mumbai apartment. "They were very impressed with the film, with some saying that it is hard to believe that a first-timer (Shirish Kunder) had directed it. Some even said that the film had raised the bar for our movies and they have to work harder on their next films."

Preity Zinta : Prince Andrew visits Yashraj Studio [2,Nov,2006]

Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom, who is on a tour of India in his capacity as his country's special representative for International Trade and Investment, today visited filmmaker Yash Chopra's 'Yashraj Studios' here. Several well-known film personalities were present including actors Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji, Bobby Deol and young director Karan Johar.

In full filmi style, Kirron Kher conducted the 'tilak' ceremony, while Preity Zinta brought along a nice antique piece as a souvenir for the Prince.

Preity Zinta's Jaan-E-Mann sets its mark at the box office [31,Oct,2006]

Jaan-e-Mann is a musical love story, which has broken the mould of conventional Hindi film narrative with its innovative, out of the box approach to storytelling. On the surface, Jaan-e-Mann appears to be a conventional story of a love triangle between Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta. 

Post Eid celebrations, Jaan-e-Mann has been playing to packed cinemas globally, with Dubai showing a 100% jump at the ticket window and Jodhpur 130% tickets collections. Traditionally, in the UK, the 7th day of a film’s release in week one is likely to be the lowest grossing day of that week. However, in the case of Jaan-e-Mann in the UK the film has grossed approximately £35,000, which alone is a sum total of the day one and the day two collections for the film.

GIFA-2006 Preity Zinta Best Acctress in Supporting Role 'KANK' [30,Oct,2006]

Karan Johar 's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) and Omkara have been nominated in 12 different categories each for the three day Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) which is slated to be held in Kuala Lumpur from December 7. 

KANK has been nominated for best film, best actor ( Shah Rukh Khan ), best actress ( Rani Mukherjee ), Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta (best supporting actor and actress), best music ( Shankar Ehsan Loy ), best lyrics ( Javed Akhtar ), male playback (two nominations for Mitwa and KANK title track), female playback ( Alka Yagnik ), best choreographer ( Farah Khan ).

Preity Zinta: Jaan-e-Mann picks tremendously post Eid  [29,Oct,2006]

Jaan-E-Mann has hit back strongly. As expected, post Eid the collections of Jaan-E-Mann have gone up. The advance booking report for the second week are very positive. Well Jaan-E-Mann was steady all this week till Eid but post Eid it is a completely different story. Jaan-E-Mann can safely be declared as a hit now.

Well Jaan-E-Mann, the way it has picked up was expected but not so late. It is rarely seen that a movie picks up from the second week onwards. The advance booking at cinema halls are packed. Jaan-E-Mann definitely deserves this.

Preity signing a new film very soon!  [28,Oct,2006]

Her last release ‘Jaanemann' is doing well at the box office and actress Preity Zinta is now looking forward to sign a new film very soon. 

“I'm signing a new film very soon,” she declared in a recent interview. However, she didn't divulge anything about the film. “It's too early to say about the film. Because nothing has been finalized yet,” she said. However she confirmed she's on the verge of signing the film. “Now that I'm back in the country and I need to sign another film.” She assured the new film would be something seriously tempting. We are eager to know about this “seriously tempting” film. 

Preity Zinta : Stylish Star aired today on M TV  [28,Oct,2006]

Recognizing the best in the sphere of style, the ‘Lycra MTV Style Awards 2006’ (MTV) were held amidst a gathering of some of the most stylish people across films, television, sports, business and fashion. 
To be aired today at 8 30 pm, the show is hosted by Karan Johar and MTV VJs Anusha and Sophie. Apart from music, style and fashion and punctuated with show-stopping displays, one can see Preity Zinta, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar walk the ramp as a special promotion for their film ‘Jaan-e-Mann’.

Preity's Living it up!  [27,Oct,2006]

She's such a cool babe - not only did she have a blast with the kids during the special screening she hosted for them; PZ was even sporting the clothes that she wore in Jaan-E-Mann. In fact, she's never enjoyed the pre-release of her film as much as she did this time. "Since Koi Mil Gaya, I haven't been here for any of my releases and this time I was sure I wanted to have a great time.

And what better way than with kids? 

They are so pure, so honest; they love us unconditionally. With them around there is so much of positive energy, and I am sure we could do with a bit of that.

Preity Zinta & Ness wadia averted ? [27,Oct,2006]

There have been some rumors flying thick and fast about our original Zing Thing and her man of the moment. And you can't really blame people, especially since Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia had not made any public appearances together in a really long time. Why hasn't Ness been around Preity at any of the many high-profile dos she's attended in recent times?

Preity Zinta: Jaan-E-Mann picks pace with audiences [26,Oct,2006]

After a not so good opening, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta starrer Jaan-E-Mann collections have swiftly picked up due to word of mouth publicity and the Eid celebrations.

Over the weekend, the movie opened to approximately 30 per cent collections but the scenario is completely different now. The film has opened to a 100 per cent collection in Dubai and also record 130 per cent collections in a theatre in Jodhpur on Tuesday.
